This year’s Polo Cup was for the benefit of Operation Compassion and iFoster, a campaign that aids in the foster care of children who are waiting for their permanent home.

The kick-off of the day was the opening match for the low-goal with the victory going to the Red Team, composed of Butch Albert, Jun Juban, Jose Constantino and Anthony Filamor. The high goal game soon after was won by the Whites, composed of Jimboy Dulay, Tommy Bitong, Inigo Zobel and Manot Montilla. Guests were able to enjoy delicious food such as spring rolls, quesadillas, an assortment of bread and more while cheering for their favorite teams and players. Included of course were free flowing drinks to help guests relax and enjoy.

Cris Albert arrived glowing, obviously excited for the day, wearing a simple but gorgeous all-white maxi dress, which flowed with her every movement. Also coming in wearing a lovely floppy sun hat was VIP guest Tessa Prieto-Valdez, as well as FILA endorser, Fabio Ide looking dashing as ever. Also in attendance was Ana Abad Santos, VP for Advertising of Fila, cheering on her son Tommy during the high-goal game.

The East Terrace of the Polo cup was covered by enormous white tents with white Japanese lanterns and beautiful lights hanging from up above, creating a simple and elegant effect. The terrace was also decorated with beautiful tabletop flowers, giving the white venue a nice pop of color. The program started off with an invocation from Pastor Jun Camcam, followed by the national anthem which was sung by Cris Villonco. The opening remarks were then given by Butch Albert and the ceremonial throw-in by Cris Albert, as well as Isabel Caro Wilson, the President of Manila Polo Cup.

After all the games followed the parade of waiters and the overflow of wines and a buffet of different food. The day ended with a beautiful display of fireworks while guests stayed to enjoy the rest of the evening.
